To cool the clinker on the fixed and movable plates, compressed air at ambient temperature is taken into the system by means of fans located under the clinker bed. The fans canalize the compressed air into the chambers of the cooler with ducts positioned the outlet sections. The air passes through the air ducts on the fixed and movable plates, and this air provides cooling of the clinker.
